The FCARC supports a monthly net to help interested hams learn about & practice Slow Scan TV (SSTV) on 2 meters. You are invited to join. FCARC membership is not necessary. This is a semi-formal, directed net. We meet at 6 pm using both FM voice & SSTV transmissions on 145.330 MHz, Tone 100. All SSTV transmissions are in Martin 2.

I will begin sending a few SSTV pictures prior to the net beginning at 5:45 pm for your enjoyment, and then I'll call for checkins at 6 pm.

Walk MS: Appleton

The FCARC will once again be supporting the MS Society by providing communication support for the 2016 Walk MS at Appleton North High School on Sunday, April 24.

The event will start will start around 8:30 AM and will finish around 12:30 PM.

in the 2016 FCARC EAA Special Event Station, July 27 thru 31 2016.

2016 FCARC Ham Exams

Reminder that the FCARC Ham Exams this Saturday, January 30, will be held at the Fox Valley Technical College, entrance door 12 on the west side of the college, room B142.Registration is at 8 am. Fee is $15. Two forms of ID, one with photo, are required. If you are upgrading a copy of your current license must be provided. Calculators are permitted, cell phone calculators are not.

443.650 Yaesu System Fusion

The 443.650 repeater located in downtown Appleton has been upgraded to an Yaesu System Fusion repeater. The 443.650 repeater is now a dual mode system doing both analog and C4FM digital signals.

December General Membership Meeting

The next FCARC General Membership meeting will be on December 21 at the UW-Fox Valley in Menasha. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM in room 1346. The FCARC will be taking nominations for the 2015 Ham of the Year and voting on to sponsor a 2016 Hamfest. Following the meeting will be the Christmas Party, please bring a dish to pass.

2016 FCARC Ham Exams

January 30, 2016 will be the first VE test of the new year. It will also be the first exam held at our new testing location.

After many years holding the exams at the Red Cross building In Appleton we had to look for a new location when they decided to close the Appleton office and sell the building. Donna, KC9THF, was able to get us a room at FVTC. FVTC is located near
Interstate 41 and Northland Ave.(county highway OO).
